Thankfulness

Today, many of us will gather with family, friends, and neighbors, to celebrate a day of Thanksgiving. Many, look forward to this day in November, with great anticipation. When we gather today, hopefully we will reflect upon what we have to be thankful for.

Scripture reminds us to be thankful for everything in all circumstances ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18). For when we find ourselves feeling a sense of being overwhelmed and concerned, about what tomorrow will bring, we can lift God up in praise, for His promise to never leave or forsake us.

Deuteronomy 31:6

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Let us not only come together on this one day, to celebrate a day of Thanksgiving, but let us rejoice and sing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ each and every day. For it is through the sacrifice of Jesus, that we have much to be thankful for. For it is by His death and resurrection, that we can sing hosanna in the highest, for all He has done, and will do in our lives.

As you read through the bible verses below, whether aloud with family and friends, or silently alone, let us reflect upon all that we have to be thankful for. Let us connect with the Lord through the power of prayer, renewing our hearts daily, and filling us with peace, joy, and a hope for new tomorrow’s. (Laminations 3:22-23) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
